Day 01: Colombo Airport – NegomboAirport
Upon arrival at Colombo International Airport, meet your professional English-speaking chauffeur and transfer to Negombo. Relax at the hotel or enjoy a stroll along Negombo Beach and its beautiful sunset. Overnight in Negombo.
Day 02: Negombo – Pinnawala – Dambulla – SigiriyaDambulla
After breakfast, travel to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see elephants being cared for. Continue to Dambulla and visit the famous Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its ancient paintings and Buddha statues. After lunch, visit the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress and enjoy panoramic views from the summit. Overnight in Sigiriya.
Day 03: Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Minneriya – SigiriyaMinneriya
After breakfast, explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, including the Royal Palace, Gal Vihara and Lotus Pond. Enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan lunch before heading to Minneriya National Park for an exciting jeep safari. Look out for wild elephants, deer, peacocks and other wildlife. Return to Sigiriya for the night.
Day 04: Sigiriya – Mihintale – AnuradhapuraAnuradhapura
After breakfast, visit sacred Mihintale, an important site in Sri Lankan Buddhist history. Continue to Anuradhapura and explore its ancient city, including Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanwelisaya Stupa and the Twin Ponds. Enjoy a local lunch along the way. Overnight in Anuradhapura.
Day 05: Anuradhapura – KandyAnuradhapura
After breakfast, travel towards Kandy with a stop at a Matale Spice Garden to discover Sri Lanka’s famous cinnamon, cardamom and pepper. Continue to Kandy and visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Kandyan Cultural Show. Overnight in Kandy.
Day 06: Kandy – Nuwara EliyaNuwara Eliya
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic train journey from Peradeniya to Nanu Oya through tea plantations, misty mountains and picturesque villages. Continue to Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England.” Visit Gregory Lake, Victoria Park and a tea plantation and factory, where you can learn about Ceylon tea production and enjoy a fresh cup of tea. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 07: Nuwara Eliya – Yala National ParkYala
After breakfast, travel to Yala National Park through Sri Lanka’s scenic countryside. In the afternoon, enjoy a jeep safari from approximately 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Look for leopards, elephants, sloth bears and many species of birds. Overnight near Yala.
Day 08: Yala – Tissamaharama – MirissaTissamaharama
After breakfast, visit Tissa Wewa and Tissamaharama Raja Maha Vihara before continuing towards Mirissa. Stop along the way to taste traditional buffalo curd with treacle. Arrive in Mirissa and relax on its beautiful beach. Overnight in Mirissa.
Day 09: Mirissa – GalleGalle
Start early with an exciting whale and dolphin-watching safari from Mirissa. Continue to Galle and enjoy lunch before exploring the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its colonial buildings, charming streets and famous lighthouse. Overnight in Galle.
Day 10: Galle – DepartureDeparture
After breakfast, transfer to Colombo International Airport for your departure flight or to your hotel in Colombo.
